Administrative Support Assistant (OA)

The position is responsible for fulfilling the following duties:
Answering the telephone and greeting visitors to provide general information and direct visitors to appropriate personnel for specific information. Serving as travel coordinator and providing technical assistance to travelers. Reviewing travel documents to ensure valid accounts, regulatory, policy, and other required guidelines are met. Tracking travel authorizations and taking steps to ensure completion of travel vouchers in a timely manner. Serving as a timekeeper and is responsible for input into computer time/attendance according to specified time schedules. Answering employees' questions concerning pay, hours of duty and leave. Purchasing to support park projects and operations. Promptly submits payments on all invoices. Using computers and appropriate software for data collection, analysis and collating. Preparing reports, providing proper spacing, heading and arrangement for ease of understanding and information processing. Duties will be developmental in nature when filled below the full performance level. All qualifications must be met by the closing date of this announcement-06/19/2020-unless otherwise stated in this vacancy announcement. Credit will be given for all appropriate qualifying experience. SELECTIVE FACTOR:
This position performs office automation, and typing at least 40 words per minute on a 5 minute typing sample with three or fewer errors is required. Candidates who do not meet this requirement by the closing date of this announcement will receive no further consideration for this position. This skill must be documented in a candidate's application package to receive credit. - AND - To qualify for this position at the GS-05 grade level, you must possess the selective factor and the minimum qualification experience requirement by the closing date of the announcement:
Experience:
At least one full year of specialized experience comparable in scope and responsibility to the GS-04 grade level in the Federal service (obtained in either the public or private sectors). This experience includes activities such as:
knowledge of maintaining a filing system, the use of computers to develop correspondence, memos, forms and other standardized documents, experience preparing time and attendance, the administrative processes and procedures in travel, and knowledge of commonly used software, including word processing. You must include hours per week worked. -OR- EDUCATION:
Four years of successfully completed education above the high school level in any field of study for which high school graduation or the equivalent was a prerequisite. This education must have been obtained in an accredited business, secretarial, or technical school, junior college, college, or university. (One year of full-time academic study is defined as 30 semester hours, 45 quarter hours in a college or university, or at least 20 hours of classroom instruction per week for 36 weeks in a business, secretarial, or technical school. You must include transcripts. -OR- Successful completion of a combination of education and experience as described above. NOTE:
Only education in excess of the first 60 semester hours of a course of study leading to a bachelor's degree is creditable toward meeting the specialized experience requirements. Two full academic years of study, or 60 semester hours, beyond the second year is equivalent to 1 year of specialized experience. For example, I have 6 months of the specialized experience (50% of the experience requirement), and 3 years of college study from an accredited institution (50% of the qualifying education) which included at least 12 semester hours of related coursework (50% of the related coursework required). You must include transcripts. -OR- To qualify for this position at the GS-06 grade level, you must possess the selective factor the following minimum qualification requirement by the closing date of the announcement:
Experience:
At least one full year of specialized experience comparable in scope and responsibility to the GS-05 grade level in the Federal service (obtained in either the public or private sectors). This experience includes activities such as performing a wide variety of advanced administrative functions including:
coordinating payroll; preparing and entering personnel actions; coordinating travel arrangements; managing a procurement system; and preparing, tracking, and reconciling an organization's budget. EDUCATION:

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
